Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Court Team in Shropshire. As a Social Worker, you will work with children and families who are undergoing care proceedings, providing support and guidance to help them navigate this challenging process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments to inform permanency plans for children
- Conduct a variety of reports and assessments, including PAMS, parenting, Together and apart, CPR, and adoption paperwork/assessment
- Support families and children under the pressure and process of court intervention
- Attend multi-agency meetings and visit children to gather their wishes and feelings
- Work with children who are looked after and undertake looked after procedures
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of child care law and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
