Job Title: Nurse Unit Manager - Leadership Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Exemplar Health Care. As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of nursing and care colleagues to deliver high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage: A team of nursing and care colleagues to deliver high-quality care to our residents.
  • Develop and Implement: Care plans and risk assessments to ensure the medical, physical, and emotional needs of our residents are met.
  • Oversee and Manage: All clinical elements and risks on your designated unit.
  • Act as Named Nurse: For residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review, and update of their care profiles.
  • Supervise and Manage: The ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal of medication on your unit.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care, excellent clinical and communication skills, and the ability to work confidently on your own initiative. You will also need to have a good standard of digital skills and be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people.

Requirements: To apply for this role, you must have a first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN. You should also have post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications.
