Clinical Lead Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team on Ruby ward, a 17-bedded female acute ward in Aylesbury.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with severe mental illness and complex emotional needs.
As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in teaching and training, as well as contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with severe mental illness and complex emotional needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to the development of our services, including the design and delivery of training programs.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our policies and procedures.
- Higher degree or equivalent in a relevant field of medical, psychological, or other studies.
- Higher specialist training in psychiatry in an approved training post for a minimum of three years, or equivalent training in another country.
- CCT in Psychiatry, or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry.
- Sub-speciality or other specialist clinical training relevant to the post.
- Personal skills - Must have an interest in and commitment to people with mental health problems, and their carers.
- Teaching experience - Experience in supervising and teaching core psychiatric trainees.
- Relevant experience of the administrative, management, and leadership roles of senior medical staff.
