Sutton Recruitment is seeking a skilled Yard Maintenance (FLT Driver) to join a leading global storage solution provider. This role involves loading and unloading our fleet of HGV vehicles, requiring a forklift truck licence. While container handler experience is desirable, we offer training to convert your forklift truck licence to include container handling.

The client offers flexible, safe, and responsible storage options worldwide. With a legacy dating back to the 1980s, they have revolutionised the global storage industry and evolved into the world's largest family-owned containerised storage solutions company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assess all containers - incoming and outgoing
  • Clean containers inside and out, ensuring they are customer-ready
  • Load / Off-load container units
  • Perform daily checks around the year
  • Deliver small containers to customers
  • Report on the movement of containers in and out of the depot
  • Travel to customer sites to inspect containers for CSC
  • Carry out minor repairs on units as required - welding would be an advantage

Requirements:

  • Full driving licence holder
  • Forklift truck licence holder
  • Ability to handle and maintain containers
  • Experience working in a busy outdoor environment
  • Self-motivated with good communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with team members, staff, and external parties
  • Willingness to learn new skills

Working Hours:

  • 40 hours per week, permanent contract
  • 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (no weekend working)

This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work safely and competently, with good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and external parties.

What's On Offer:

  • Working hours: 40 hours per week, permanent contract - 8am until 5pm.
