Job Summary:

Devonshire Appointments is seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Maintenance and Repair Specialist. As a key member of our plant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all plant equipment, applying your Electrical/Mechanical Engineering expertise to perform planned preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventive maintenance on plant and facilities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Address reactive breakdowns promptly, utilizing your electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills to identify and repair issues efficiently.
  • Guarantee the safety and readiness of equipment post-repair, adhering to health and safety standards and best practices.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment, promoting a culture of safety and responsibility among team members.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient in electrical fault finding on various components and circuits.
  • Mechanical diagnostic and repair skills across a diverse range of machinery.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical drawings with competence.

Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent role, paid weekly. You will work 3 x 12 hour shifts, rotating from 1800 Sunday to 1800 Saturday (one week, days/one week, nights and so on). Please note that flexibility to adapt to shift changes and take on responsibility in the absence of the Engineering Manager is essential.
