Research Assistant Opportunity

Buckinghamshire New University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Assistant to join our team. As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting research projects, conducting research, analysing results, and generating original ideas.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking research by preparing, setting up, conducting, and recording the outcome of field work and other qualitative methods.
  • Conducting literature and database searches.
  • Contributing to and/or producing research reports.
  • Developing and maintaining contacts with key social work stakeholders in England.
  • Presenting information on research progress and outcomes to the project team.
  • Actively participating as a member of a research team.
  • Making use of standard research techniques and methods and computer-assisted data analysis techniques such as Excel and SPSS or other statistical packages.
  • Dealing with problems that may affect the achievement of research objectives and deadlines.
  • Planning own day-to-day research activity within the framework of the agreed project.
