We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Veolia ES (UK) LIMITED. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for driving growth across our key markets of North East England and Yorkshire by securing large regional waste contracts across the private sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for your territory, working closely with stakeholders from across our business to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Grow the pipeline of prospects and nurture relationships with potential customers, gaining a detailed understanding of their needs and how Veolia can add value to their organization.
- Lead the development of engaging propositions that give organizations a compelling reason to move to Veolia, using your knowledge of the customer, Veolia, and the wider industry.
- Support the integration of new customers through their contract implementation and ensure a smooth handover to their Account Manager.
- Work closely with internal resources to qualify and nurture opportunities, allowing you to think and act strategically.
- Proven track record of identifying business opportunities and developing, managing, and nurturing business relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound level of financial acumen and bid writing skills.
- Excellent communication, presenting, and negotiation skills, as well as strong customer focus and a passion for our business purpose.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and grow business in a competitive market.
- High level of creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and analytically.
