Role Purpose
This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is pioneering advancements in quality management, with a focus on achieving Quality 4.0. The Quality Engineer will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across various departments and provide direct support to the site Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
This multifaceted role will allow you to:
- Lead independent continuous improvement projects
- Investigate and resolve batch-related issues and customer complaints
- Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
The primary objective is to enhance the quality of Sika’s products, services, and overall outcomes, not just in one location but across the entire UK operation.
Compensation and Benefits:

Qualifications:
- A degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent industry experience (mandatory)
- Aspirations to progress to a Quality Management position, demonstrating a commitment to growth and leadership in quality assurance
- 4-5 years of experience in a Quality Control or Research and Development laboratory (mandatory)
- A proactive approach to Environmental, Health, and Safety (mandatory)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software (mandatory)
- Proven track record in project management and timely delivery (mandatory)
- Experience with SAP (mandatory)
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with lean methodologies and Six Sigma problem-solving techniques (preferred)
- Experience or knowledge in database management and Python programming (preferred)
- Training in internal auditing (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective working relationships across departments
