About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Director of People to join our team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing people strategies that support the delivery of our organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement people strategies that align with the Trust's overall objectives
- Lead and manage the People Business Partner function, providing guidance and support to the team
- Partner with leaders and employees to understand their current and future needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
- Integrate diversity and inclusion principles into all areas of people practice
- Support the development of a continuous improvement approach to workforce transformation across site activities
- Coach and lead by example, resolving conflict and building trust within teams and functions
- Keep abreast of national developments in people practices and take a systemic, system-wide approach to understanding and framing emerging organisational and system issues
Requirements
- Master's degree or relevant professional qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field
- Chartered Member of CIPD or equivalent professional status
- In-depth specialist knowledge in people management and/or organisational development through experience or professional qualification
- Substantial experience of dealing with executive and divisional level colleagues within large organisations
- A demonstrable track record of delivering high-quality results at pace
- Experience of building workforce plans and new workforce models that are underpinned by robust quantitative analysis
- Proven track record of leading the development of compassionate and inclusive cultures from team to organisation level
- Experienced leader able to influence and drive change and transformation at the highest level
- Significant experience of operating effectively in a political environment with inclusivity and sensitivity
- Substantial experience of leading a high-performing HR/people function that has balanced legal/policy compliance with needs of person-centred/staff experience
