Job Summary

Crown Companies is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for applying your knowledge and experience to design and develop equipment and processes for our global customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Design and Fabrication: Provide design and fabrication drawings, process engineering, and project support to ensure accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Process Engineering: Perform various engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment sizing and selection.
  • Customer Support: Provide engineering support to customers, and to the Sales, R&D, and Aftermarket teams.
  • Project Management: As required and as assigned, perform the roles, functions, and responsibilities of a project manager.
  • Design Review and Code Calculation: Review design and perform code calculation requirements for pressure vessels.
  • Training and Mentorship: Assist with training and help mentor Level I Engineers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3-6+ years related experience (Level II).
  • Skills: Proficient in project scheduling, tracking, and reporting, piping and instrumentation diagram creation, process flow diagram creation, pressure vessel design, equipment design, and AutoCAD.
  • Communication: Demonstrates professional integrity and ethics, able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors, and able to read, analyze, and interpret technical and commercial contracts.
  • Language: Must be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to communicate in a second language (European or Asian languages) preferred but not required.
