Job Title: Architect

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our team at Capita. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering architectural projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage architectural design projects from inception to completion
  • Commission, program, and client liaison throughout the project process and report progress to your line manager
  • Assist other architectural staff as required and coordinate the contributions of all members of the Multi-disciplinary Design Teams
  • Assist in the promotion and development of the highest quality of design and constructional standards of building with particular emphasis on value for money
  • Contribute to the company's overall success through personal performance, supervision, and proactive leadership where required
  • Assist in the implementation of the company's Health & Safety Policy Statements, including risk assessment procedures
Requirements:
  • Enthusiastic UK Registered Architect with experience of working in a senior role, including team management responsibilities
  • Sound grasp of building design and construction, and construction cost planning
  • Sound grasp of building contract law, with experience in JCT and NEC forms of building contract
  • Awareness of new innovative procurement and construction techniques, especially in connection with Net Zero Carbon initiatives, construction contracts, current legislation, statutory, and regulatory requirements relating to property
  • Good communication, written and verbal, presentation, and organizational skills
  • High skill level of AutoCAD and Revit software, along with associated 3D visualization rendering packages, and NBS experience
  • Experience in Education design, public buildings, Healthcare, and Blue Light sectors is desirable
  • A brief e-portfolio of recent work demonstrating compliance with the above criteria
