Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at McCabe & Barton. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Linux-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provision and support of server hardware, Linux operating systems, and applications.
  • Second-line infrastructure support, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Implement monitoring, management, and alerting systems to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with the Security team to enforce security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead projects to improve production environments, including the design and implementation of new infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents and technical guides.
  • Participate in system design discussions and provide input on infrastructure architecture.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux administration and deployment.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in resilient, low-latency environments, including high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Skills in virtualization platforms and scripting languages, including Bash, Shell, Perl, and Python.
  • Experience with monitoring platforms, including Zabbix.
  • Knowledge of Identity Management platforms, including IPA and LDAP.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in vendor management and evaluating new technologies.
