Logistics Coordinator

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in optimising our supply chain operations, collaborating closely with our sales team and logistics partners to deliver exceptional service and support to customers and drive profitable sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely information to both external and internal customers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Manage all aspects of shipping and delivery, liaising with freight forwarders to process UK and Export despatches, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory management and minimising stockouts or overstocking.
- Process and track orders and samples, conducting contract reviews and resolving any issues that may arise, and providing regular updates to stakeholders on order status and delivery timelines.
- Build strong relationships with logistics providers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure efficient transportation of goods, driving cost savings and improving service levels.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for logistics and a knack for driving results. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in sales coordination or logistics management, preferably within the manufacturing or materials industry.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- A proactive mindset and a willingness to take initiative in solving problems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge and application of HMRC legislation and guidelines would be desirable.
