We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Medicines and Clinical Policy Team at the Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB). This position is essential for the effective operation of our team, which is committed to ensuring the safe and economical use of medications for all patients in the Black Country.
As part of a larger group of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, you will assist in managing various projects across the Black Country ICB. The team collaborates with a diverse array of stakeholders, including general practitioners, nursing staff, other healthcare professionals, and patients.
Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive administrative assistance and secretarial services to our team. This encompasses organizing meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, responding to inquiries, and offering general guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the initial point of contact for the department, addressing routine inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Deliver secretarial and administrative support to various staff members within the Medicines and Clinical Policy team. Process invoices while ensuring compliance with all financial protocols, maintaining a solid financial framework within the department. Assist the team in project management and engage in departmental events. Help organize educational events, including venue bookings. Perform general office tasks, such as managing incoming and outgoing mail. Proficiently utilize Microsoft Office applications. Exhibit a flexible and adaptable work approach.About Us

Job Requirements
Must possess a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience. Familiarity with a range of health service provisions. Understanding of Data Protection regulations.Experience and Skills
Proven experience in an administrative role, particularly within a healthcare setting. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with effective data entry capabilities. Problem-solving abilities and excellent listening skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to work independently, managing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Experience in organizing and maintaining filing systems, both electronic and paper-based. Capable of handling confidential information with discretion. Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
