About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the control and delivery of construction projects to meet client specifications (safety, quality, cost, time, etc.) such that all budget, risk, specification, project timescales, customer and business objectives are met in full.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall delivery of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead and manage a team of site staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans, ensuring that all site staff are aware of and comply with health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, site diaries, and quality control records.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards and within the agreed timelines.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, ensuring that they do not impact the project's overall success.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and site staff, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met and exceeded.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior site management role, with a strong track record of delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire site staff to achieve their best.
- Strong health and safety knowledge and experience, with the ability to develop and implement effective health and safety plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and site staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
