About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Blue Elephant Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective service
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and composed demeanor
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
