Role Overview

High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support our Youth and Play Workers in delivering engaging and interactive sessions for young people.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of the room and activities before each session
  • Support the team in coordinating and delivering sessions, including outings and activities
  • Facilitate group discussions and tasks throughout the session
  • Contribute to catering and administrative duties as needed
  • Adhere to High Trees policies and procedures for working with children and young people
  • Inform Youth and Play Workers of any issues arising during sessions

Commitment

  • Attend one session per week, with flexibility to accommodate varying session times
  • Commit to supporting the team for at least one term (approximately 12 weeks)

Skills and Qualities

  • Reliability and punctuality in attending sessions
  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage with young people
  • Desirable skills include sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and bike maintenance
