Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles including LGV vehicles, trailers, vans, and cars.
Key Duties Include:
- Adhering to the guidelines outlined in VOSA's roadworthiness maintenance guide, as well as vehicle manufacturer manuals.
- Ensuring that company vehicles are serviced and maintained effectively, addressing any defects in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
Preparation for Compliance:
- Prepare and present vehicles for their annual MOT inspections.
- Maintain workshop equipment within your skill set.
- Collaborate as a vital member of the Workshop Team to enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in training sessions as required; proficiency in computer systems, including internet and intranet, is essential. Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
Work Environment:
- Exhibit a flexible and dedicated approach to shift work.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all aspects of the Heidelberg Materials Compliance Policy.
Comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and follow the Company's Safety Policy and relevant legislation.
Proactive Health & Safety Management:
- Actively manage the health and safety of all employees to enhance the company's safety performance.
- Continuously update knowledge to perform the role effectively and attend necessary training and development courses.
- Follow all HR Policies and Procedures of the Company.
Qualifications Required:
- Current LGV Licence.
- Completion of a time-served apprenticeship in LGV Maintenance.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification.
