AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) are inviting applications for Trainee Mechanics to be based at Manchester Airport , working in cooperation with our client airline Ryanair, Europe's largest airline.
As part of our continuous growth plan, we are seeking to recruit Trainee Aircraft Mechanics for our 12-week training programme based at our industry-leading Prestwick Maintenance facility. Our Trainee Mechanic scheme is designed to provide hands-on training and valuable experience to individuals interested in pursuing a career as an Aircraft Mechanic and Engineer. Under the guidance of our experienced team, trainees will have the opportunity to learn essential skills and techniques required to build a new career within aviation. Following graduation from the 12-week training programme, successful candidates will then be based at our MAN Line Station on a 2D2N or 4N4O shift rotation.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Supervised scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks on Ryanair’s Fleet of Boeing 737-800 and 737-8200 aircraft.
- Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery support.
- Base Husbandry and Housekeeping
- Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, adhering to all company procedures, policies and regulations.
- Any other tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager

Requirements
All candidates must have a clean criminal record, Full Manual Driving Licence and have the unrestricted right to live & work in the UK with a valid passport.
Qualifications & Experience:
· GCSES in Maths/English at Level 4 or above
· Engineering Qualification (Desirable)
· Experience in a similar mechanical role such as a motor vehicle mechanic, electrician or fabricator (Desirable)
· Keen interest in Engineering
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Essential)
