EU Purchase Specialist for Indirect Commodities

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at AESC. As a key member of our EU Operations team, you will be responsible for managing indirect services and commodities across all European sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a market intelligence program to benchmark key industry indicators and market prices, ensuring accurate price forecasting and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Global Purchasing and Local Purchasing teams to support strategies and develop suppliers both regionally and locally.
- Provide continuous operational improvement by ensuring contracted suppliers deliver required service levels and acting as a key escalation contact for EU sites operational issues.
- Identify and engage EU vendors, develop requests for information/quotations, and align plant functional needs to support Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) activities.
- Ensure timely implementation and communication of EU negotiations with required business partners.
- Implement ISO-based processes to streamline daily activities and drive continuous improvement.
- Assess and evaluate suppliers to undertake performance reviews and drive improvement activities.
- Work cross-functionally to establish Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets and objectives, and monitor/report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to local management, EU, and Global Leaders.
- Degree University qualification is essential.
- CIPS or MCIPS is preferred for this role.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI, SAP.
- Travel will be required within the EU and sometimes Asia.
- Full driving license.
- Fluent in English (C1 level).
We are looking for a passionate and experienced procurement professional with a proven track record in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment. You should have strong negotiation skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
You should also have effective analytical skills to evaluate commodity market trends and the ability to investigate new supply markets to assess existing and new supplier capabilities.
