Join Our Team as a Systems Accountant

Trial Balance Consulting is seeking a skilled Systems Accountant to join our team in St Austell. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting the health of our accounting systems.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in systems implementation and a thorough knowledge of the challenges faced by a medium-large sized services sector business. You will be responsible for leading the roll out and development of new and existing finance technology platforms, auditing review of controls, and ensuring accounting entries are appropriately classified.

As a Systems Accountant, you will be at the forefront of developing new ideas to maximise and update our current finance system, implementing solutions as necessary. You will also train new and experienced staff in the use of a variety of systems and update systems to ensure reporting compliance.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, able to engage with our managed provider to close timetable, and ensure processes are completed in accordance to business controls. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead in the roll out and development of new and existing finance technology platforms
  2. Audit review of controls identifying potential risks
  3. Ensure accounting entries are appropriately classified in accordance with internal policy and accounting standards
  4. Develop and implement new ideas to maximise and update the current finance system
  5. Train new and experienced staff in the use of a variety of systems
  6. Update systems to ensure reporting compliance
  7. Proactively engage with managed provider to close timetable
