Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Sheffield

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Purpose of Job:

The Inspection department is responsible for ensuring the quality of products by conducting thorough inspections at various stages of production. This includes Goods Inwards, in-process, and final inspections, as well as the maintenance of relevant documentation and liaison with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to the required standards to support a Right First Time approach
  • Conduct inspections using calibrated metrology and inspection equipment
  • Perform in-process inspections, including First-Article
  • Final inspection of supplied goods prior to release
  • Maintain and produce required documentation, including product records
  • Identify and dispose of non-conforming products in accordance with procedure
  • Liaise with internal functions, including supply-chain, manufacturing, design, etc. as necessary
  • Liaise with external client representatives where required
  • Contribute to the company's Continuous Improvement Plan activities and team-building culture

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Apprentice-trained engineer with good working knowledge of Engineering drawings
  • Experience and knowledge working with various metrology and inspection equipment
  • CSWIP 3.1
  • FARO experience advantageous
