About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Biodegradation Scientist to join our team at Labcorp. As a key member of our Environmental Sciences team, you will be responsible for providing scientific leadership and expertise in biodegradation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of biodegradation services, ensuring they meet the highest scientific standards.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to deliver biodegradation studies and reports that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to promote Labcorp's biodegradation services.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical, scientific, and regulatory developments in biodegradation, sharing knowledge with the team and contributing to the company's scientific profile.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals for bespoke biodegradation studies and programs of work, ensuring they are scientifically robust and meet client needs.
  • Provide scientific judgment on the interpretation of study data and the impact on conclusions for reporting or subsequent studies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum BSc in Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in biodegradation with in-depth scientific and regulatory knowledge.
  • Strong communication, networking, and negotiating skills.

  • Good commercial and business awareness.
  • Proven project management and customer liaison skills.
