Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Administrator to join our team at Freight Personnel. As a key member of our ocean freight forwarding team, you will be responsible for supporting our trade managers with short-term rate negotiation and rate guidelines, as well as coordinating with operations teams on booking escalation and resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with pricing team on rate guidelines and support trade managers with spot and short-term rate negotiation.
  2. Support trade managers with managing carrier allocations and coordinate with operations teams on booking escalation and resolution.
  3. Cover for trade managers during absence or leave and provide support with RFQ coordination and rate population.
  4. Assist with analyzing and benchmarking RFQ 2nd and 3rd round data.
  5. Liaise with operations teams to ensure smooth execution of freight operations.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in ocean freight and a strong understanding of the ocean carrier landscape.
  2. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  3. Strong process and systems awareness, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Knowledge of ocean market and trades, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance.
