We are seeking an experienced Trading Underwriter to join our Engineering and Renewable Energy Team at Aviva. As a Trading Underwriter, you will be responsible for providing a first-class service to our aligned customers and brokers, driving new business and professional relationships, and contributing to the underwriting profit and loss, trading, and service delivery goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quotations for renewals, new business, and alterations while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels for an aligned panel of brokers.
- Build positive relationships with internal and external customers and brokers to deliver the underwriting strategy.
- Contribute to improving the efficiency within the team through systems thinking methodology and by utilizing our digital trading platforms wherever possible.
- Support more senior members of the team in their underwriting and client servicing administration.
- Underwriting knowledge to effectively improve processes and procedures.
- Experience of being responsible for own underwriting caseload within a regulatory environment, following due process and within set authority limits.
- Ability to analyze complex information and draw out the relevant facts along with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent business development/customer engagement skills in order to influence key contacts in the marketplace.
- Familiarity with the relevant departmental and Aviva-wide policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Salary is competitive, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Bonus opportunity of 8% of annual salary, actual amount depends on performance and Aviva's.
