Job Summary:

iO Associates - UK/EU is seeking a skilled Outfit Detail Design Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will work with a team of Engineers to create detailed 2D design layouts and arrangements, taking into consideration client requirements and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create detailed 2D layouts and arrangements for ship outfitting
  • Conduct vessel reviews and requisition materials for Bills of Materials
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure designs meet client requirements and safety regulations
  • Utilize AutoCAD (or similar design software) and Microsoft Office to complete tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years drawing office or detail design experience, preferably in the commercial shipbuilding industry
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD (or similar design software) and Microsoft Office
  • Good understanding of ship outfitting requirements
  • HVAC and structural knowledge - an advantage

What We Offer:

  • 6-month contract with potential for extension
  • Rate between £40-45 per hour (OUTSIDE IR35)
  • On-site working in a Glasgow office
