Outfit Detail Design Engineer Contract Opportunity

iO Associates is seeking a skilled Outfit Detail Design Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will work with a client in the Shipbuilding industry, creating detailed 2D design layouts and arrangements while ensuring compliance with client requirements and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and create detailed 2D layouts and arrangements for ship outfitting
  • Collaborate with a team of Engineers to meet client requirements and safety standards
  • Conduct vessel reviews and requisition materials for Bills of Materials
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Microsoft Office to complete tasks efficiently
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in drawing office or detail design, preferably in commercial shipbuilding
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Good understanding of ship outfitting requirements and HVAC/structural knowledge
What We Offer:
  • 6-month contract with potential for extension
  • Rate of £40-45 per hour (OUTSIDE IR35)
  • On-site working in Glasgow office
