Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Radiologist with a specialization in Breast Imaging, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Radiology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision to junior medical staff and contribute to the development of our Radiology team.
- Take an active role in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of our department's business plan, including fostering and developing projects to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Be responsible for outpatient clinic commitments in peripheral hospitals and ensure compliance with Trust infection prevention and control policies.
- Contribute to the development of our Radiology department's policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with Trust standards and guidelines.
- Participate in medical audit and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that our department is providing high-quality patient care and meeting Trust standards.
Requirements
- Registerable medical qualification and FRCR or equivalent.
- Wide experience in all aspects of Radiology, culminating in award of Certificate of Completion of Training by GMC, or award of Certificate of Eligibility for Specialty Registration (CESR) by GMC.
- Specialist training in breast imaging and experience in day-to-day organization of Radiology services in a busy Teaching Hospital.
- Familiarity with information technology and general computer skills, as well as current structure of UK National Health Service and recent initiatives and changes.
- Able to demonstrate leadership capability within multi-disciplinary teams and thorough understanding of principles of medical audit.
