Claims Handler Role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join our team at PIB Insurance Brokers. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing claims from across different products, including Property, Liability, Marine, and Business Interruption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage claims from cradle to grave, ensuring service standards are met and/or exceeded.
  • Keep an efficient diary system for all claims, ensuring claims are chased as required.
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of Acturis.
  • Provide claims information and reports to the broking department and clients as required.
  • Ensure complex claims are handled in accordance with group procedures.
  • Acknowledge all new claims to clients and insurers, and keep clients informed of progress.
  • Produce claims MI/claims reports when required.
  • Meet with clients to present claims information as needed.
  • Undertake other duties as requested by management on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Ensure personal CPD is managed and kept up to date.
Requirements:
  • Robust Property, Liability, Marine, and Business Interruption insurance claims handling experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and full understanding of insurance claims procedures.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, applying TCF and KYC methodologies.
  • Acturis system knowledge (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to use MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
  • Cert CII or working towards this or similar.
  • Highly organized and excellent time management skills.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude and natural problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
