Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telephone Agent to join our team at Halmer Recruit. As a Telephone Agent, you will be responsible for speaking with customers to help them organize a repayment plan that suits both parties, while displaying empathy and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making inbound and outbound calls to discuss repayments and negotiate payment arrangements
  • Speaking with customers on live chat to resolve queries and disputes
  • Taking payments and updating accounts status
  • Completing basic affordability checks and income and expenditure forms
  • Sign-posting customers with financial difficulties to not-for-profit debt agencies
  • Working with a team of experienced credit professionals to provide exceptional service and performance

Requirements:

  • Hard-working and reliable individual with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent customer service experience and a good telephone manner
  • Previous telephone experience is an advantage, but full training is provided
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
