About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Domestic Assistant. As a key member of our cleaning and maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient safety by keeping their rooms, wards, communal areas, restrooms, and other hospital areas clean and free of clutter.
  • Strip and clean beds and collect linen, ensuring a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, including desks, ceilings, vents, walls, blinds, and other high-touch areas, to create a sterile and safe environment.
  • Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, and polish floors to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Emptying bins and waste containers, and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical aspects of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of patients, visitors, and staff.
  • A passion for health and safety, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Personal and professional integrity, appearance, and demeanor, with a focus on providing a positive and respectful experience for all.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.00.
  • 21 hours per week, with a regular schedule of Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 7:30am - 3:00pm.
  • Specific immunizations may be required as a condition of this role.
