Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing a warm and welcoming reception service to patients and visitors
  • Managing patient appointments, prescription requests, and general administrative tasks
  • Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Communicating effectively with patients, staff, and external agencies
  • Using SystmOne and other IT systems to manage patient data and administrative tasks

About Us

Crossfell Health Centre is a busy family surgery in Middlesbrough, serving approximately 9,000 patients. Our team comprises of 3 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, an experienced nursing team, and over 25 skilled administrative staff.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a GP Practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong IT skills, including SystmOne and call handling experience
  • A friendly and approachable attitude, with a positive can-do attitude

Desirable Criteria

Prescription Clerk experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
