Elvet Recruitment is seeking a Site Supervisor on behalf of a distinguished civil engineering and highways contractor to oversee projects in the Midlands region.


This opportunity combines the advantages of a Tier 1 contractor's support and stability with the close-knit environment of a Tier 2 firm, fostering a collaborative and familiar team atmosphere.


Our client is a prominent civil engineering contractor with a turnover exceeding £10 billion and a strong reputation across Europe and the UK.

This division operates as a regional business unit, promoting a supportive team culture that is conducive to professional recognition and career advancement.


Project Scope:
up to £30 million.

The ideal progression from this role is to Site Manager, with further opportunities to advance to Project Manager and Contracts Manager.

They have a well-established reputation for developing high-quality management teams, with a common trend of long employee tenures.


Project Types Include:
highways construction and infrastructure, public realm works, streetworks, s278 agreements, kerbing, general civil engineering, drainage, and structural projects.

As-built surveys

  • Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
  • On-site quality assurance
  • Sub-contractor management
  • Candidates should possess proven experience as a Site Supervisor with a principal contractor in civil engineering and highways projects.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in site engineering processes and documentation.
  • Strong focus on quality-related responsibilities, including QA, ITPs, and ITRs.
  • A valid CSCS card and full driving license are required.
  • Additional qualifications such as SMSTS and Temporary Works are advantageous.
  • A competitive salary of up to £48,000 (dependent on experience) is offered, along with a company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, annual leave, life insurance, share scheme, pension, and more.
