Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Barista Food Service Assistant to join our team at Sodexo in Shell Centre London. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving our vibrant menu, ensuring all working areas are clean and tidy, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold foods
  • Set up and breakdown of service stations
  • Interact with clients, upholding Sodexo's 5-star service standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Operate and maintain coffee making equipment
  • Operate a cash register, receiving payments and providing customer service
  • Maintain proper security of cash and understand and follow Sodexo's cash-handling policies and procedures
Requirements
  • A passion for providing nutritious and delicious meals
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others
  • Basic food-handling skills are desirable, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are also essential
  • Ability to work in a standing position for prolonged periods
  • Ability to use an espresso machine or willingness to learn barista service and food preparation
  • Experience using a cash register or EPOS system
