Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Hythe, Kent

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Reporting to: Finance Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Morgan Jones. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights and supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and reports to senior business leaders.
  • Manage sales reporting, commissions, and bonuses.
  • Ensure accurate ledger postings and review accounting entries.
  • Analyse departmental spending against budget forecasts.
  • Support annual forecasting and business plan financials.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and post journals at month-end.
  • Oversee the financials for the Dubai office and provide performance commentary.
  • Support external audits and liaise with auditors.
  • Manage company vehicles and maintain insurance and toll accounts.
  • Assist with VAT returns.
  • Oversee the purchase ledger and ensure cut-off adherence.
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reports as requested.
Requirements
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive and confident, able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
