We are currently looking for a Transport Planner (& Operations Support) to become a key member of our Eventor F1 team.
As a Transport Planner, your primary responsibility will be to devise a strategy that effectively allocates resources, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements regarding working time and driver regulations.
Your role will involve maintaining high standards of customer service for the tasks assigned to the resource pool, with a focus on enhancing and achieving established customer and business performance indicators.
This is a full-time, permanent role, typically operating from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some flexibility required. We offer a competitive salary and the chance to work with a leading organization in the industry.
Key Responsibilities of the Transport Planner include:
- Support the Transport Manager with compliance administration for daily and weekly operations.
- Ensure that GTS housekeeping tasks are consistently completed.
- Complete depot logs within the designated timeframe.
- Input trailer numbers promptly.
- Monitor and report on empty legs during shifts.
- Track time lapse and restricted parking reports as required.
- Finalize Microlise debriefs within specified timeframes.
- Report any Microlise errors to the central team.
- Check resource availability for upcoming shifts.
- Confirm driver start times for the following day.
- Report any WTD issues or concerns to the Operations team.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the driving team to enhance the use of Microlise.
- Facilitate clear communication between day and night shifts, utilizing handover documents.
- Utilize 'n' function in accordance with traffic regulations to optimize resource use.
- Manage driver hours in relation to customer needs and volume demands.
- Understand and achieve specific targets regarding utilization, loaded and empty legs.
- Implement communication from Team Leaders, particularly in managing traffic flows and trailer type utilization.
- Assist at the drivers/debrief counter as needed.
Ensuring Customer Performance by:
- Reviewing assigned customers to ensure timely planning and correct equipment allocation.
- Communicating with Customer Services and Drivers to meet customer KPI targets.
- Completing and reporting on Benefits and Concerns weekly.
To be considered for the role of Transport Planner, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of WTD and EU Drivers Hours regulations.
- CPC National Qualification (not mandatory).
- Familiarity with GTS, Microlise, MyFleet, and Myworkforce.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to critically assess and enhance existing processes.
