Job Title: Transport Planner
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Culina Group. As a Transport Planner, you will play a critical role in creating effective transport plans for our customers within the wider Stobart network, while ensuring compliance with legal responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and plan drivers, utilizing ongoing communication and our state-of-the-art transport software to optimize resource utilization.
- Control and plan an agreed amount of resource (vehicles, drivers, trailers), adhering to legal requirements (Working Time Directive and EU drivers' hours regulations).
- Ensure the daily plan is completed in real-time, effectively managing resources to maximize utilization while minimizing costs.
- Maintain organized and updated internal tracking systems to exceptional standards.
- Regularly utilize in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
- Understand and achieve key performance targets related to fleet safety and efficiency (utilization and costing).
- Communicate regularly with customer service teams and drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are met and maintained.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently, with a willingness to resolve complex issues.
- Capacity to organize workload effectively and work in a pressurized environment to meet key deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience using a TMS system.
- Experience in an FMCG environment.
