Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure manufacturing process equipment is available and maintained to the correct standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and repair equipment to ensure day-to-day manufacturing issues are resolved and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Complete and monitor essential preventative maintenance tasks – providing clear and concise handover to the department at end of shift.
  • Update, review and analyse department critical metrics (daily/weekly/monthly) to ensure operational support teams performance is being achieved and maintained along with identifying improvement opportunities using data-driven decisions.
  • Work with other departments to develop and improve the current facility, facility systems and manufacturing process equipment to help deliver change and improve key performance metrics & goals.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Practical experience of facility & manufacturing equipment maintenance solving issues within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to set up relationships with current and new vendors to develop processes and systems to drive continuous improvement within manufacturing process.
  • Minimum HNC or City in guilds in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience working within a medical device manufacturing environment or cGMP manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience of working within a team and delivering project deliverables essential.
  • Experience of working and maintaining facility & process equipment essential.
