BAND 5 CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST - IN-PATIENT PHYSICAL HEALTH REHABILITATION

Key Responsibilities
We aim to cultivate a high-performing team where you can contribute from the outset, making a meaningful impact and delivering exemplary care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality care to a designated group of patients, focusing on rehabilitation and sub-acute care for individuals transitioning from acute care settings and those requiring admission avoidance.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, your duties will include:
- Evaluating the healthcare needs of patients and formulating care plans that address those needs.
- Monitoring the standard of care provided to patients.
- Collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to establish discharge goals.
- Performing clinical tasks such as administering complex medications, intravenous therapies, fluid management, enteral feeding, advanced wound care, and catheterization.
- Assisting the Ward Sister in overseeing a team of patients, including the supervision and delegation of tasks to junior staff.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must be registered with the NMC or be nearing qualification within the next six months if currently enrolled in a nursing program.
In addition to the standard benefits provided under NHS terms and conditions, this role offers an incentive of £3000 pro rata for successful candidates, payable over the first year of employment, subject to terms and conditions.
