Sentinel is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Threat Analyst to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analysing cybersecurity threat assessments, as well as developing cybersecurity indicators to maintain awareness of the highly dynamic operating environment.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
Main Responsibilities- Research and investigate attack techniques and recommend ways to defend against them.
- Lead continuous evaluation and improvement of Hunting tools, defining operational parameters for use and conducting reviews of tool performance and outputs.
- Create scripts and select appropriate tools to test attack paths in line with MITRE ATT&CK principles.
- Support security investigations to provide post-mortem analysis to illuminate issues and possible solutions.
- Review system logs, SIEM tools, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- An organised approach that can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines in a high-pressure environment.
- Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to pick up new technical skills quickly and apply them relevantly.
- The ability to interact with SSE staff at all levels up to senior and across all business units and organisations.
- The ability to gain UK National Security Vetting clearance level of Security Check (SC).
