Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at Barnardo's. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our Emotional Well-being Home.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Residential Support Workers in delivering exceptional care and support to our service users. You will work closely with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the home and contribute to the development of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers in delivering high-quality care and support to service users.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of our service users through individualized support plans and regular reviews.
  • Ensure the home is a safe and welcoming environment for all service users.
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete within a specified timeframe.
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people.
  • At least 1 year's supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care setting.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
