Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Coordinator to join our team at Willis Global Ltd. As a Customs Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth import and export of goods, while adhering to HM Revenue & Customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate import and export activities, ensuring compliance with HM Revenue & Customs regulations and industry standards.
  • Liaise with customs authorities, suppliers, and customers to resolve any issues or questions arising from business activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely customs entries, including amendments and reclaims.
  • Manage high volumes of data entry on spreadsheets, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize supply chain operations and minimize costs.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and industry developments, ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in exports/import and customs compliance, with a strong understanding of HM Revenue & Customs regulations.
  • Knowledge of customs requirements and formalities, with a focus on UK and EU imports.
  • Experience with the CDS system, including imports and exports, and transit procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel, and able to prioritize and organize workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends based on volume.
