Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at City Pub Group. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of chefs, championing excellent service through quality food, and driving sales and growth through engagement with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop a Team: You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of chefs, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure excellent service and quality food.
  • Champion Excellent Service: You will champion excellent service through quality food, ensuring that every dish that leaves the kitchen meets our high standards.
  • Drive Sales and Growth: You will work closely with the front-of-house team to drive sales and growth, through engagement and collaboration.
  • Manage Kitchen Operations: You will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, including staff rota, training, and health and safety.

Requirements:

  • Experience: You will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Leadership Skills: You will have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Culinary Skills: You will have a passion for producing high-quality food, with a focus on creativity and innovation.
  • Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
