About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Alcedo Care. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing daily nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring that all food is fresh, within budget, and meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement daily menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents, taking into account dietary requirements and restrictions.
  • Culinary Leadership: Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and service, ensuring that all team members are equipped to provide exceptional service and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Implement and maintain health and safety procedures, including proper food handling and storage, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor food stocks and order supplies as needed, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
  • Customer Service: Build positive relationships with residents and their families, responding promptly to their feedback and requests, and ensuring that all interactions are professional and courteous.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Skills: Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques, knowledge of nutrition and the ability to develop menus that meet dietary requirements, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Education: Food Hygiene Certified - Level 2, First Aid Certified, and NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering.
