Job Description

**About the Role**

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Hygiene Manager. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the night hygiene functions of the business.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Oversee daily hygiene functions and develop a strong team work ethic.
  • Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all employees and that as a minimum the factory meets the standards set out in the SHE policy.
  • Plan the factory change over cleaning window to ensure a smooth operation of time critical procedures to all the correct hygiene standards.
  • Lead, manage, coach and guide night-shift team in all aspects of food safety and hygiene.

**Requirements**

  • Extensive knowledge of hygiene and cleaning within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent health and safety awareness.
  • Relevant industry experience including experience of legal requirements (manual handling, safe systems, HACCP etc).

**Benefits**

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Onsite Monday – Friday (nights).
