Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological services to patients with complex conditions.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking clinical work within our Community Complex Conditions Service, working directly and indirectly with patients, families, and staff members. You will also provide training, supervision, consultancy, and advice to multidisciplinary colleagues on psychological aspects of clinical management and contribute to service evaluation and planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake clinical work within the Community Complex Conditions Service
  • Provide training, supervision, consultancy, and advice to multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Contribute to service evaluation and planning
  • Support supervision and training of more junior clinical psychology staff
Requirements:
  • Good Honours degree in Psychology
  • Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996)
  • Registration with Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Clinical supervision training for supervising Doctoral trainees
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Record of publications in peer-reviewed or academic or professional journals and/or books
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
  • Well-developed knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies in specific difficult-to-treat groups
