Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Stores Controller to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing the engineering stores and ensuring the availability of spare parts and materials essential for the smooth running of our plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management
- Review and approve all purchasing requests for production consumables
- Liaise with engineers and engineering team leaders to ensure accurate ordering of parts
- Ensure suppliers deliver correct parts and place them in the store correctly
- Supply Chain Management
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and accurate invoicing
- Coordinate with the purchase ledger to ensure all booking-in requirements are met
- Store Management
- Responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels and operating all systems
- Optimize store space and ensure the highest standard of service to the factory
- Ensure the store is kept organized and clean, adhering to world-class standards
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the maintenance manager and site services lead to review critical spares and EOQs
- Drive a culture of searching for the best quality materials at the best possible price
- Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers
Requirements
- Knowledge of engineering, machine parts, and ordering systems
- Experience in working with suppliers to reverse-engineer obsolete parts
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - Holistech preferable
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including 25 days' holiday, a generous pension scheme, and a rewards and discount portal.
