Logistics Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team at HS2 Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice and expertise at all stages of the construction process to the NEC 3 Project Manager in administering the contract.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the feasibility of the work and provide recommendations to the project team.
- Accept, monitor, and assure contractor compliance through their Construction Logistics Strategy (CLS), Construction Logistics Plans (CLP), and Logistic Environment Safety Sustainability Management Plan (ESSMP) to meet quality and safety assurance purposes.
- Liaise with the relevant teams within HS2 and the contractors to identify the logistics requirements in each area based on material demands, location of suppliers/receivers, and plant requirements.
- Collaborate with the other Area Logistics Managers and work closely with other HS2 stakeholders to ensure interface items and arrangements have been incorporated into the construction logistics plans.
- Assist the Senior Logistics Manager in the review, production, and delivery of route-wide requirements, processes, coordinated strategy, and programme for construction logistics.
- Undertake an assurance role during planning and construction, monitoring and reporting on the contractor's management of logistics, safety, and compliance with the EMRs and Undertakings and Assurances in each area.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager who can demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
- Ability to work in a complex, matrix environment across different disciplines.
- Ability to produce and present information aimed at a variety of audiences.
- Data analysis and reporting skills.
- Time management skills.
- Conflict Management - Ability to cooperate, collaborate, and reach constructive outcomes with a range of colleagues from different disciplines and backgrounds.
- Decision Quality - Gathering and synthesising information, identifying options, and applying sound judgement based on logic and reason.
- Knowledge of applicable UK construction regulations, including Construction Design Management (CDM) and Construction Safety Management (CSM) requirements.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge and experience using proprietary software and IT resources.
- Knowledge and experience of site-based processes and procedures for health, safety, environmental, and environmental management.
- Knowledge of Civils and Rail construction methodology.
