We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the West Kent locality. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a learning disability to access and participate in their local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with a learning disability, promoting their social inclusion and rights.
  • Assist in meeting the needs and aspirations of service users, using a supportive and encouraging approach.
  • Work collaboratively with senior staff members and other professionals to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in care and support, including working with individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities, including those with challenging behavior, autism, and other disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
