Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the West Kent locality. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a learning disability to access and participate in their local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with a learning disability, promoting their social inclusion and rights.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Support individuals to access community resources, such as education, employment, and leisure activities.
  • Work in a variety of settings, including community hubs and individual homes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience of care and support of individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities, including those with challenging behaviour, autism, epilepsy, and other disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
